WORKS IN PROGRESS
THE LAST SCHOOL BELL

My latest project tells the stories of 21 former pupils of my old grammar school, Redditch County High School, which I attended in the mid to late 1960s, who were killed during World War II and who's names appear on the school Roll of Honour Board. Whilst at the school I must have passed that board hundreds of times without, I am thoroughly ashamed to say, taking any notice of the names engraved thereon. I suspect that it is much the same situation today. I am delighted to have the opportunity of telling each of their stories, their school life, where they lived and grew up, what they did between leaving school and joining the services, how and where they fought and, ultimately, where they died. I recognise each of them for the heroes they are and hope that current and future pupils will be able to acknowledge and commemorate them, recognising that because of the sacrifices these men all made, so that today's youngsters can appreciate the freedoms they so enjoy.

MISPLACED INSURRECTION
WWII is in its early stages and Hitler is about the unleash the might of the Luftwaffe over Britain. Detective Chief Inspector Harold "Fletch" Fletcher is approaching retirement. Working out of Redditch Police Station, he is suddenly thrust into a world of top secret military projects, enemy spying, and a rogue Sergeant but, as if that wasn't enough, there is a sexual predator on the loose who is targeting young girls. What does all this have to do with a soldier, shot at dawn for cowardice, during the 1916 Battle of the Somme, almost a quarter of a century earlier? Mid-investigation, Fletcher's son, a Royal Navy Lieutenant charged with escorting Atlantic convoys, is reported missing as his ship is sunk by a U-Boat torpedo.
Tension mounts to breaking point as matters threaten to spiral out of control for the detective.
BEHIND THE TRINITY KNOT

It is a time of turmoil on mainland Britain as the IRA's campaign for a united Ireland gains momentum. Toby O'Neill and Barry Thompson, former colleagues in 22 SAS, but now working in the commercial security world as co-owners of Chieftan Management, are called in by Scotland Yard to uncover a mole suspected of passing secrets to Irish Republicans. O'Neill receives a warning note from senior IRA member, Martyn Leary. Tangled webs of deceit, trust and mistrust, betrayal and misplaced loyalties are uncovered as the IRA plan to hit its most challenging target yet, New Scotland Yard itself!
